If you would like to schedule an appointment to have your cat or dog spayed/neutered by DHA, please contact the shelter.

Locations and procedures for the day of the surgeries will be provided by Front Desk.

You can download the Feline Spay Neuter Contract to fill out prior to arriving at the surgery.

Note:  If an animal has already been vaccinated for rabies, the client must bring a current rabies certificate to the scheduled day of surgery.  The certificate must be signed by a veterinarian with the veterinarian’s license number.

Without a current rabies certificate, the animal will receive a rabies vaccine for an additional $15 charge.

Rabies tags are NOT proof of rabies vaccination.

* Effective Sept. 1, The State of Delaware has a new surcharge for all Rabies Vaccinations. We are required to send $3.00 for every vaccination given to a low cost spay/neuter fund. In six months these funds will support our low cost spay neuter program for low income residents and feral cats. Attached to this email is our new cost for vaccinations for S/N clients and Animal Assessments. Vaccination prices will remain the same for wellness clinics. The new prices take effect for DHA programs starting October 1st.
