Rowdy Rascals Club

Do you feel ashamed of your dog’s unruly, combative behavior when he sees another dog? You are not alone! Join other guardians of “rowdy rascals” in this remedial socialization class for reactive dogs with mild to moderate dog-to-dog issues.

Course material begins with an orientation session without the dog to review muzzle desensitization and acclimating your dog to a Gentle Leader head collar. Coursework includes basic obedience training, with an additional focus on increasing the handler’s skills for better management of the reactive dog. Desensitization exercises are stressed to lower the problematic dog’s arousal level in the presence of other dogs. Classes are held outdoors, weather permitting, on Delaware Humane’s shelter grounds.

For safety reasons, all canine participants in this course must be pre-screened. Please contact Nancy Fitzgerald, CPDT, at (302) 761-9125 to schedule a free assessment prior to registering for class.

For pricing, please contact Nancy Fitzgerald, CPDT, at (302) 761-9125. Class size is limited and fees will vary depending on the number of participants in any particular group, as well as the number of sessions warranted by the level of aggression displayed during assessment.
